Jessica Boyer is a dedicated visual storyteller with over 10 years of experience in community journalism and TV production. Her journey has been marked by a passion for preserving history and sharing unique perspectives with broad audiences.
Jessica excels in media production, program development, and community engagement. Roles and Achievements:
She was most recently the Executive Director of SCVTV, the Santa Clarita Valley's local nonprofit Community Media Center. In this role, she led a team of over 15 writers, photographers, producers, editors, interns, and volunteers. Jessica oversaw programs that promote the community's nonprofits, schools, businesses, events, and other organizations. She was named an honoree of SCV 40 Under Forty, recognizing young professionals in leadership roles within both nonprofit and business sectors.

In addition to these programs, she supervised over 3,000 written and video posts annually across web, social media, and cable platforms. Jessica continuously worked to bring new programming to the station and has developed and strengthened community relationships. She facilitated projects that benefited nonprofit organizations and students, providing hands-on training in SCVTV productions and free Public Service Announcements for nonprofits and schools. She also created and launched the SCV Media Collaborative and NextGen MediaMakers Festival.
Community Involvement:
Jessica has served on the Santa Clarita Valley Fourth of July Parade Committee and the Media Entertainment Arts Advisory Committee at College of the Canyons. She was also involved with the Career Technical Education Advisory Committee at Hart District.
Professional Experience:
Before her role at SCVTV, Jessica served as the News Director, Writer, and Photojournalist for KHTS FM 98.1 & AM 1220, where she provided leadership to a team of five staff writers and interns, recording daily radio newscasts, writing articles, and covering local events.

Education:
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies & Journalism from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and an Associate Degree in Fine Art Photography from College of the Canyons. She has also earned certificates in the Leadership Education in Action (LEAP) Program and Commercial Photography program from COC; and in Nonprofit Management and Grant Writing & Giving Fundamentals from the Center for Nonprofit Management.
