Storytelling Subscriptions
Most small businesses and nonprofit organizations tell their story once and then go quiet. The grand opening gets documented. The energy of opening week gets captured. And then the feed goes quiet, or inconsistent, or starts to look like everyone else's.
But the most interesting thing about a place is usually what happens inside it every day. The process. The people. The small rituals that make a business worth visiting.
Storytelling Subscriptions are ongoing media partnerships for visual businesses and organizations. Each month or quarter, I show up, document what you're already doing, and deliver polished video and photography built around your specific business.
No briefs to fill out. No stock aesthetic. Just consistent, human-centered content that connects your community with your business.
Every subscription includes a planning call before each shoot. We use that time to align on what story to tell that cycle, like what's coming up, what's worth capturing, what angle makes the most sense for where your business is right now. You go into each delivery knowing what to expect. I go into each shoot knowing what I'm looking for.
Each cycle delivers:
A fully edited feature video (60–90 seconds, horizontal+vertical)
Vertical cutdowns optimized for Reels and Stories
Edited photo selects, ready to use across social, web, and print

How we work
Every shoot falls into one of four formats depending on your business and what's happening that month.
-
For new products, new services, seasonal menus, rebrands, expansions — any moment your business is revealing something new. We build the shoot around the story behind the launch: what it is, why it exists, and what went into making it. The edit has a narrative arc — not a sales pitch, but a real reveal. Delivered in time to anchor your announcement across social, web, and press.
-
For restaurants, coffee bars, wine bars, bookstores, and businesses where atmosphere is the product. No formal interview required. We arrive during your natural rhythm — morning service, dinner prep, opening hour — and document the place as it actually runs. The edit is music-driven and observational. It lets the space speak.
-
For studios, ceramicists, bakers, roasters, and anyone whose craft is the product. We start with a short, conversational interview — five questions at most — and spend the bulk of the shoot on process. Hands, materials, environment, detail. The edit is interview-driven with b-roll carrying the visual weight. The result feels like a portrait of a person and their work, not a promotional video.
-
For galleries, performance venues, festivals, and businesses with recurring events or programming. We cover the event as it unfolds — setup, the live experience, candid moments — and pair that with a short on-camera reaction or two. One shoot generates social content, archival documentation, and promo material you can use well beyond the event itself.
Our Services
One shoot per quarter
Best for smaller arts businesses, studios, and shops with slower programming cycles who want a strong, recurring presence without a monthly commitment.
Each quarter includes:
Planning call (20–30 min) before the shoot
One on-location shoot day (2–3 hrs)
One fully edited feature video (60–90 sec, horizontal + vertical)
1–2 vertical cutdowns optimized for Reels and Stories
10–15 edited photo selects
Shoot format: Maker Story, Place Story, Launch Story, or Program Story — determined in the planning call based on what's happening that quarter.
Starting at $1,500/quarter ($500/ month). Final pricing based on scope and location.
Quarterly Storytelling
One shoot per month
Best for active businesses with ongoing programming, regular launches, or a consistent need to document what's happening inside their business.
Each month includes:
Planning call (20 min) before the shoot
One on-location shoot day (2–3 hrs)
One fully edited feature video (60–90 sec, horizontal + vertical)
2–3 vertical cutdowns optimized for Reels and Stories
20–25 edited photo selects
Shoot format rotates monthly based on your business rhythm — we align on the right format in the planning call.
Starting at $1,800/month. Final pricing based on scope and location.
Monthly Storytelling
Two shoots per month
Best for venues, galleries, festivals, and organizations with both ongoing programming and everyday stories to tell. One shoot covers an event or launch; the other captures the evergreen story of your business.
Each month includes:
Planning call (30 min) covering both shoots
Two on-location shoot days (2–3 hrs each)
Two fully edited feature videos (60–90 sec, horizontal + vertical)
4–6 vertical cutdowns
40–50 edited photo selects
Priority scheduling
Shoot formats are planned together in the monthly call so both shoots feel like a cohesive month of content rather than two separate jobs.
Starting at $3,200/month. Final pricing based on scope and location.
Story Partner
Optional add-ons — available across all tiers:
Colored Selects Export
A color-graded export of your video selects delivered as individual clips, sized for Reels and Stories. Use them for behind-the-scenes moments, quick announcements, or anything you want to post between our deliveries.
Starting at $150/cycle.
Portrait Session
A dedicated environmental portrait session worked into your shoot day. You and your team, in your space, looking like yourselves— not staged, not stiff. Natural light, real context, the kind of image that actually represents how you work and who you are.
Ideal for website bios, press features, social profiles, and anywhere you need a photo that does more than prove you exist. Includes 3–5 edited portrait selects.
Starting at $300/session.
On the fence? Not sure if this is the right fit? Introducing Field Day Sessions
A single, low-commitment way to see what working together would actually feel like — before deciding whether a full storytelling subscription is right for your business.
One Friday a month, I set aside a handful of hours to document a small stretch of businesses exactly as they are on an ordinary day — no set-up, no performance, just an hour of paying attention.
What it is
A single, hour-long session built around Place Story: the rhythm of your space, the light at that time of day, the small motions that make it feel like itself. No interview, no narrative arc — just presence, documented well. It's scoped smaller on purpose, so you can judge the fit without committing to a quarter up front.
What's included
One hour on location, one Friday
A short vertical video (15–30 sec), observational and music-led
6–8 edited photo selects
Turnaround within 7 business days
How it works
Field Day runs once a month. I work a handful of businesses back-to-back within a tight radius, so the day stays efficient, and the attention stays focused. Slots are limited and go up 4 weeks ahead - when they're gone, they're gone until next month.
Investment
$550, one session, no commitment either way.
If it turns out to be a fit, your $550 counts toward your first cycle if you move into a Storytelling Subscription within 30 days - so this isn't a separate purchase, it's the first step of deciding.
A note on format
Field Day is built using inspiration from our “The Place Story” format, which is ideal for businesses where atmosphere carries the story - a counter, a workshop floor, a room people linger in. If what makes your business interesting is more about process or conversation than presence, this will still give you a taste of what Storytelling Subscriptions can offer, but it might not be the most ideal format!
If Field Day feels like a clear yes, that's a good signal the full subscription will too!

A storytelling subscription is an ongoing media partnership where a producer documents your business on a recurring schedule — monthly or quarterly — instead of a one-time shoot. Each cycle delivers an edited video and photo selects, so your business builds a consistent library of content over time rather than a single project that goes stale.
-
Pricing depends on shoot frequency and scope. Quarterly Storytelling starts at $1,500 per quarter, Monthly Storytelling starts at $1,800 per month, and Story Partner — for businesses with ongoing events or programming — starts at $3,200 per month. Final pricing is based on your specific business and shoot complexity.
-
Visual, arts-adjacent, and culture-driven small businesses tend to be the best fit — restaurants, coffee bars, wine bars, working studios, galleries, maker spaces, bookshops, and arts organizations. Businesses with a strong visual or process-driven identity get the most out of this model.
-
No formal brief is required. Each cycle starts with a short planning call to align on what to capture that month or quarter, so you don't need to prepare a shot list or script in advance.
