Switching Two Podcast

A podcast for multi-hyphenate creatives navigating careers in film, television, and media.

The Challenge

Creative careers are complex and rarely linear—especially in industries where people juggle multiple roles, hustle across productions, pivot between specialties, or build freelance careers.

The challenge with Switching Two was to create a space that goes beyond surface-level career highlights and instead digs into the real stories, tactical insights, and nuanced experiences of people making creative work in a rapidly shifting media landscape.

My Role

As Co-Host and Co-Creator alongside Heather Kate Duncan, I helped shape the show’s vision, format, content strategy, production workflow, and guest curation. My responsibilities included:

  • Developing the concept and editorial approach

  • Booking and preparing guests

  • Hosting conversations that balance tactical insight with personal narrative

  • Coordinating recording and post-production logistics

  • Shaping promotional messaging and distribution strategy across platforms

Approach / Process

To build a show that resonates with creative professionals, we:

  • Centered real stories over highlight reels, inviting guests to share both triumphs and pivots in their careers.

  • Designed a conversational interview style that surfaces personal insight alongside practical takeaways.

  • Built a repeatable production workflow that supports consistency while allowing for creative flexibility.

  • Broadcast the show on major platforms like Youtube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify to meet listeners where they are.

Results / Impact

  • Launched Switching Two and produced 8 episodes and 1 mini episode in its first season, featuring diverse creatives from across media and production.

  • Created content that blends practical insight, personal narrative, and industry context, appealing to listeners who are navigating freelancing, staffing, career pivots, or multi-role creative work.

  • Established a platform that supports both emerging and seasoned professionals in film, broadcast, digital, and branded content spaces.
