SCVTV’s Community Corner/ SCVTV
SCVTV’s Community Corner was designed to strengthen community connection by giving local organizations a platform to share information, providing real-world production training for students and interns, and expanding access to local programming through partnerships with other media sources.
The Challenge
The prompt for this project was to produce programming exploring and discussing local topics and issures relevant and important to residents in Santa Clarita. Topics featured include non-profit organization features, updates from local school districts, and other educational programming.
The challenge was producing consistent, high-quality episodes at scale while working with a wide range of stakeholders—many with varying levels of on-camera experience and limited availability.
The project was for a nonprofit television PEG Access station and community media center based in the community, which was working in partnership with the local City and public education institutions within the community.
